German term

Aufnahmeleitung

German to English Medical Medical: Instruments Oxygenator Pressure Sensor
"Diese Ursache ist aber von Anfang an unwahrscheinlich, da die Druckaufnehmer nicht an eine Druckspülung angeschlossen sind, über die sich bei Verlegen der Aufnahmeleitung dann ein erhöhter Druck am Druckaufnehmer hätte aufbauen können."

Talking about an incident with an oxygenator that occurred during an operation, and possible reasons for this incident. Here it's looking at whether there was a fault with the pressure sensors, and then saying it's unlikely (the above sentence is explaining why it's not very likely).

I can't make any sense whatsoever out of "Aufnahmeleitung" Everywhere I look, it has a completely different meaning that would make no sense at all in this context. Clearly that meaning is standard usage, while this is not. But what does it mean here??? TIA for your help.

transducer tubing, line, or connection

This is presumably the tubing or connection between the oxygenator and the pressure sensor or transducer:

"FIG. 5 shows another embodiment of the invention similar to the one described in FIG. 4, but modified in that a single connector has replaced the three individual luer lock connectors used to attach the tubings from the aspirating pump and differential pressure transducer to their corresponding orifices on the modified gas inlet of the oxygenator."

"The arterio-venous loop (A-V loop), which when divided will be connected to the venous and arterial cannula by the surgeon, is connected to the venous reservoir inlet and oxygenator outlet. The arterial line filter (with bypass link), pressure transducer and bubble detector are attached to the systemic flow tubing (see Fig. 1.1)."

and from the same source:

'The pressure line may now be connected, via an air-free isolator to the line pressure gauge and pressure transducer."

agree BrigitteHilgner : "tubing" was my first thought and the quotes convince me.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I decided to go with "transducer tubing", based partly on the references and partly on Brigitte's peer grade comment. Many thanks indeed to both of you for your help - much appreciated."
