intake flange
A couple of online dictionaries said "reception flange," but everything on the Web that had "reception flange" was either a patent (which aren't necessarily reliable translations when we are talking about patentsonline.com) or a German website (and we all know how a lot of translations in those aren't actual words in English - no offense meant). I thought of a couple of other ideas, and "intake flange" had a good showing on Google and also (perhaps more importantly) a good showing with hose-related terms. My suggestion is ONLY a statistics game, but here's a reference link if no one comes up with something better:

"hub flange" sounds like something that has to do more with brakes....at least according to my experience. What I would suggest (if possible) is to wait longer to see if other people come up with anything - I mean the real problem solvers - Kim Metzger, Steffen Walter, etc.

Definitely could be, if the context leads you to that....although, of course, "Aufnahmeflansch" does not linguistically mean "sanitary flange!"

Note from asker:
lots of hits on the Millipore site for "sanitary flange", which this thing may very well be.... |
