Is Neil C. particularly ept with insurance? "Not profit-sharing" sounds a good option, as well. I am the editor rather than the translator, but I have collected all your solutions and offered them to the translator.

agree Paul Skidmore : I prefer "profits" to "surplus" in the context of savings vehicles. In the UK "with-profits" insurance is a widely used term

Ich denke her geht es um eine Überschussbeteiligung (surplus sharing), die man als Inhaber einer Versicherung im Laufe der Jahre erhält. Manchmal wird eine solche ausgeschlossen.

surplus participation; participation in surplus

"The insured parties to the aforementioned insurance shall not be entitled to receive any share of the surplus earned with their premiums". Or else: "The aforementioned insurance policy does not grant any participation in surplus".
