Eben war die Frage zweimal drin. Beim 2. Mal gab es den Hinweis auf Vertriebsunterstützung von Maklern und dem Ausschließlichkeitsvertrieb.

Ich denke, es sind "brokers and exclusive agents" gemeint. Siehe auch den angegeben Link.

Tied agent

In the US, an insurance agent is classified according to their contractual relationships to the carriers (insurance companies) proving the cover. Some - just as in Germany - worked exclusively for particular carriers. As such, their role with this carrier can be called a tied agent. Without more context, it is not clear though...used to do a lot of work with US insurance carriers and intermediaries...deshalb...
