This comes up as part of a CV packet. The client is explaining challenges overcome.

So far the only hits I found for grey import or grey export seemed like they might have been (mis?)translations. I feel like I must be missing something because this cannot be that uncommon.
On wikipedia I finally found parallel import - but not parallel export.
Then this little article, apparently from a UK author, speaks of the "grey market" in the same context: http://importexport.about.com/od/ImportMarketResearch/a/Para...
So, what do you think for a translation for the US market?

grey export
the grey market, grey exports and grey imports are all common expressions.
They are all either questionable or even illegal. For example a camera sold in the USA and imported to Europe at a possibly lower US price would be a grey export from America, a grey import to Europe and a grey market product.
Such a product may be purchased at a lower price from a bona fide US dealer, but the buyer will have no valid European warranty or manufacturer service.
The same expressions may also be used for products purchased from dubious dealers or through obscure channels - particularly online traders.
