Discussion

Martin Cassell Jul 27, 2010:
identity of XXX it is notable that one press release, from Cisco, and recycled versions of it, account for well over 50% of all the ghits for "widely leveraged".
Martin Cassell Jul 27, 2010:
or even ... "widely-leveraged n.i.s."
Celine Reau (asker) Jul 27, 2010:
Martin Martin a raison, la question devrait être "leveraged network infrastructure software"
Martin Cassell Jul 27, 2010:
indeed "leveraged" is a wretched jargon term, whose usage is being somewhat stretched here. I guess the writer was looking for a more impressive and positive term than "used", but that's basically what is meant here.
GILLES MEUNIER Jul 27, 2010:
Leveraged C'est ce que j'ai dit mais je pense que c'est leveraged qui lui posait problème. Elle devait poser la question : leveraged network infrastructure software
Martin Cassell Jul 27, 2010:
découpage it is the software which is the most widely 'leveraged' in the world', not the network.<br>the noun-phrase is 'network infrastructure software', «logiciel d'infrastructure de reseau»; this noun-phrase is qualified by, and embedded in, the adjective-phrase 'the most widely leveraged in the world'

"network" et "network infrastructure" sont effectivement des choses très différentes.

D'accord avec Martin, c'est bien "logiciel d'infrastructure réseau", personne de prétend le contraire - Je suppose que la question portait sur "leveraged" , qui est un mot difficile à traduire en français très souvent.
Note from asker:
Comme je le disais à Gilles, votre aide m'a permis de mieux cerner le sens de "leveraged" et de m'orienter vers "solliciter" qui me semblait bien adapté dans ce contexte. Encore merci.

disagree GILLES MEUNIER : Ce n'est pas la question et c'est le logiciel d'infrastructure réseau qui est exploité....personne de prétend le contraire = vous prétendez le contraire puisque vous traduisez par infrastructure et ce n'est pas le terme thématisé....
