f the level gauge must operate in contact with process fluids having temperature below 0DegC, to allow level visibility notwithstanding frost, a non frosting block contacting the scale glass shall be fitted and sealed on level gauge indicating scale, as shown in Fig. 5.
Seal the non frosting block with a glue both with soft and elastic features up to operating temperature.
Apply the glue avoiding to dirty the visible surfaces.
Non frosting block protrusion depends on process fluid temperature (see Table 3).
WARNING:
Check point 14.0 of this manual if level gauge shall operate at low temperature.
13.0 WORKING LIFE
Magnetic level gauge is fitted with parts subject to wear (as sealing joints) and subject to damages (as float); therefore such items must be periodically inspected by user.
Inspection time scheduling and interval must be performed by user according to plant working condition, process fluid, plant knowledge and/or experience.
