During turbine operation at low volumetric flow, the trimming
device adjusts the staggered operating sequence
of the main steam and reheat control valves on the basis
of the high pressure turbine exhaust steam temperature, thus
ensuring that the largest possible volume of steam flows
through the high pressure turbine.
