From the multiple probabilistic iterations run, 90th percentile worst case scenarios were examined as separate deterministic simulations describing the 90th percentile shortest contact time for shoreline oiling to occur, the 90th percentile largest amount of shoreline oiling, and the 90th percentile largest amount of the water surface area oiled.

The minimum 90th percentile shortest shoreline contact time is two days after the spill during the summer. The 90th percentile case for the most shoreline oiling was 65 MT during the fall when the diesel spill directly contacted the eastern most Islands (including areas with shoreline concentrations below the environmental threshold of 100 g/m²). On the water surface, the seasonal maximum 90th percentile largest area that could potentially cause injury to birds and wildlife (above the 1 µm thickness threshold) was 1,876 km² in the winter. The area of the water surface above the 5 ppb threshold for dissolved aromatics at any point in the 14-day simulation for the 90th percentile largest surface area impacted was 7,395 km² during the summer.
