:Sono stati inclusi nel progetto 70 cani con diverse caratteristiche, di cui:
CANI ANZIANI (19 soggetti), CANI CO-TERAPEUTI (15 soggetti) e CANI IN ATTIVITÀ (30 soggetti)
Ognuna di queste categorie è stata divisa in due gruppi:
ADDIZIONATI (cioè alimentati con mangime Long Life, arricchito con antiossidanti)
e NON ADDIZIONATI (cioè il gruppo di controllo, alimentato con un mangime di mantenimento
di eccellente qualità ma non addizionato con antiossidanti)
I due gruppi all’interno di ogni categoria erano tenuti nelle medesime condizioni.

enriched (complemented)
enriched is most often used in this sense, I think I would call the group like that and for arricchito I would say "complemented with" - or vice-versa, if you like
