German term

vorgeschaltete Großhandelspartner

German to English Law/Patents agreement on audits in automobile industry

I'm not sure how to categorize the question. This comes from an agreement, but deals with the automobile industry. However, the term I am researching in this context could be considered general in nature.

whoops to avoid confusion *@! is the same as [company name]. Sorry.

3 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I went with Klaus's answer here. It's definitely not upstream in this context. I use that in terms of gas and electricity network operators (there are probably other examples, too). I suppose one could rewrite the sentence and eliminate the word, but I chose to use intermediate here. The wholesale partners are the ones who go between the company (who also sells the products) and the customers. Thanks for all the input."

upstream wholesale partners

for lack of knowing the ins and outs of the organisation in question.

or

the wholesale partner responsible for you
the wholesale partner with whom you are dealing
your wholesale partner

have ALREADY ... through our wholesalers

German tends to use the word "partner" too freely. Could lead to ambiguity here. "Vorgeschalten" is done justice with the "already".
