Sehubungan berita mengenai kelulusan Dr dr Sarwono Waspaji di Kompas (29/1) yang menyatakan bahwa lulus magna cum Laude = sangat memuaskan, perlu ditambahkan informasi bahwa Direktur Program Pascasarjana UI, Prof Dr dr Wahyuning Ramelan sebagai ketua sidang sama sekali tidak menyatakan bahwa magna cum Laude = sangat memuaskan. Yudisium kelulusan di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi, di samping dinyatakan dengan nilai IPK (indeks prestasi kumulatif) juga dinyatakan dengan sebutan predikat, yaitu: memuaskan, sangat memuaskan, dan cum Laude (dengan pujian). Predikat itu merupakan ketentuan umum yang berlaku sekarang.

- Very Satisfactory: the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) between 2.76 – 3.50.
- Satisfactory: the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) between 2.00 – 2.75.

: "sangat memuaskan" is not equivalent to magna cum laude because the GPA range for magna cum laude in the US is above that of cum laude (not below as in this case)
