crocheting
My glossaries say that feste Masche is "single crochet" in the US and "double crochet" in the UK. However, single crochet seems to be frequently used on British sites, too.
Can anybody sort this out for me? Can I use single crochet for a UK text?
TIA

Hi Sabine,
I'm not so keen (in fact I do not like) crocheting, however I have only seen double crochet in the UK - the site below may give you some assistance!

It seems that "single crochet or slip stitch" corresponds to German "Kettmasche" and "double crochet" to "feste Masche".
