The technical version of "ring" is "die Öse", so I didn't want to call it "bridal ring", but I'm not sure.

Kabelschelle
I've found a nice website explaining slang trade terms (pls s. ref 1). I think this kind of cable conduit is not used in Germany. The only thing that comes close to it, might be a 'Kabelschelle' (ref 2) though the principle of fixation is different.

: Agree to this bridle ring not being used in Germany, but would recommend against using Kabelschelle, since it is too different. Thanks for the tradeslang site, it appears to be very useful.
