Niet echt, Doe Maar was meer een band voor gillende meiden.
In a way, their succes was also their tragedy. They wanted to be a 'serious' band with 'serious' music for a 'serious' audience, but they attracted screaming teenage girls instead, who fell in love with the looks of the band members instead of the content of their lyrics/music.
When they did play for a 'serious' audience, like at the Pinkpop festival, it went wrong (see short video below, speaks for itself).

When I am not translating, but working on 'side issues', like administration, replying non urgent emails, etc., mostly in the evening, I pour myself a good glass of wine and listen to classical (guitar)music, like (see link).
