Hello Sofía,

could you explain what kind of tutorial you are looking for? Are you looking for a tutorial on a special Unix software, or has your client provided you with PO files, and you want to know how to handle PO files?

In the case of the latter, I suggest you download a tool called gettext. The download page is http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/

I am not too sure whether gettext is avaiable for Windows (I assume that your PC runs on Windows), in which case you may have to download any of the po Editors for Windows, such as http://sourceforge.net/projects/poedit (or search sourceforge.net)

HTH.

1 rule: try to avoid Windows terminology.. Jun 28, 2006

In German, Unix specific terms are usually not translated - only pronounced in the German way

And for PO files I recommend DVX

What do you mean? Jun 28, 2006

Do you mean you are doing l10n of some program and that your OS is Unix... or do you mean that you are doing the l10n of the Unix OS itself (or possibly one of the nixes such as a Linux distro)?
