Is it possible to localize .AI files

Hello all! I am urgently looking for ways and means to localize Adobe Illustrator files using Trados or a similar CAT tool. All helping suggestions are welcomed.

You can save Adobe Illustrator file as SVG file - it is XML file, so you have to create the appropriate .ini file (this part is the most advanced one). Then you can translate the SVG file in TagEditor (as TTX), clean it, open the translated SVG file and save it as .AI file.

Please note that text in the Illustrator file cannot be outlined.

I have not tried personally, because some time ago this company "has recognized me as an employee of the competitive company" and refused me even the trial code...

I am not sure what you are talking about, our demo versions do not require trial code.

I have checked the archives and this tool is the only Photoshop-related tool advertised on one of my favourite yahoo groups. AFAIR I was registering for the demo version two-three years ago, so I will check that again (unfortunately I have lost all information that was stored on the stolen computers, so this may take time).

How does Transmissions compare with Sysfilter? Oct 24, 2006

Hi all,

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread. I just found this recommendation for Transmissions. But I also know that Sysfilter (ECM Engineering) has pretty much the same offering.

Did anyone compare the competing softwares? Opinions?
How does the batch handling differ?
