El siguiente análisis se basa en el articulo “Innovación e Investigación y Desarrollo – Una confusión de alto costo”.
La renombrada empresa de consultoría empresarial Booz&co ha divulgado, en 2013, los resultados de su ultima encuesta global en las mil empresas, mas innovadoras del mundo, este año concentrada sobre la etapa de planificación de la estrategia da innovación empresarial – lo que se denomina, en los grupos de discusión en Internet, de “front end innovation”, en inglés. Esa pesquisa global viene siendo realizada por la renombrada empresa de consultoria empresarial Booz&Co ha divulgado, en 2013, los resultados de su ultima encuesta global en las mil empresas mas innovadoras del mundo, este año concentrada sobre la etapa de planificación de la estrategia da innovación empresarial – lo que se denomina, en los grupos de discusión en la Internet, de “front end innovation”, en inglés. Esa pesquisa global viene siendo realizada por Booz&Co desde 2005, para examinar la correlación entre cuanto las empresas innovadoras invierten en I-D-I y su desempeño financiero de corto y largo plazo.
Año tras año, los resultados refuerzan la conclusión de que esta correlación simplemente no existe. Más inversiones en I-D-I no se traducen, necesariamente, en más éxito en la innovación empresarial. Adicionalmente, el enfoque sobre la I-D-I suele requerir mucha atención de la organización, lo que oscurece la adecuada evaluación del negocio empresarial en que se debe constituir la innovación. La ausencia de una capacidad de planificación de la innovación amplifica esta gran desventaja.
Translation - English IV. INVESTING IN INNOVATION, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AND THE SUCCESS IN INNOVATION
The following analysis in based on the article “Innovation, Research and development – a high Price confusion”.
In 2013, famous consulting company Booz&co published the results of their last global survey in the thousand most innovative companies of the world. This year it focused on strategy planning of business innovation- what is called in Internet discussion groups as “front end innovation”. Booz&co has been working on this survey from 2005, to examine the correlation between the amount companies invest in R&D and their financial performance in short and long terms.
Year after year, results highlight the conclusion of this correlation being nonexistent. More R&D investment does not translate, necessarily, into bigger success in business innovation. Additionally, focus on R&D demands more attention from the organization, which hinders adequate assessment over the company the innovation should be constituted. The absence of planning abilities in the innovation amplifies this disadvantage.

1Voici l’histoire de Jay Z. 2Il habite à Los Angeles en Californie aux Etats-Unis. 3Un jour, Jay Z se réveille et regarde autour de lui. 4« C’est bizarre », il dit. 5« Je ne suis pas chez moi. Je suis dans une jungle. Je veux retourner chez moi, mais comment retourner chez moi ? » Il pense et pense à son problème. Tout à coup, il a une idée. Il décide de marcher un peu pour trouver sa maison. Il commence à marcher et tout à coup, il voit quatre personnes à sa droite qui rient et jouent (are laughing and playing). C’est une belle femme et trois enfants; une petite fille et deux bébés jumeaux (twin). Jay Z court vers la belle femme et dit, « Bonjour, belle femme. Je m’appelle Jay Z. Je me suis perdu. Encounters with 'Vanitas' in the age of the Selfie

The proposed presentation explores ideas and motivation, techniques of production, and public response to a recent series of prints (Vanitas) by John Phillips.
With the increasing proliferation of photographic imagery and the recording of all aspects of our lives, there is a need to reclaim photography as a route to creating startling images.
The Vanitas prints seek to reclaim the discarded and overlooked. They are a contemporary 'encounter' with a tradition of Western genre painting redolent with fading beauty and mortality.
At first glance, the Vanitas series looks back to the mid 19th century - the world of Baudelaire's 'Les Fleurs du Mal', the paintings of Henri Fantin-Latour and William Dyce, Swinburne's Garden of Proserpine, and further back to Holland in the 17th century. Yet the Vanitas prints emerged from experiments in digital photography and printmaking.

Con la creciente proliferación de imágenes fotográficas y de llevar registro de todos los aspectos de nuestra vida, surge la necesidad de retomar la fotografía como una ruta para para creación de imágenes deslumbrantes.
Las impresiones Vanitas buscan reclamar aquello que fue rechazado e ignorado. Son el “encuentro” contemporáneo con la tradición occidental del género de la pintura que evoca la brevedad de la belleza y la muerte.
A simple vista, la serie Vanitas vuelve su mirada a mediados del siglo 19 – El mundo de Les Fleurs du Mal” de Baudelaire, los cuadros de Henri Fantin-Latour y William Dyce, The Garden of Proserpine de Swinburne. Regresa aún más, a la Holanda del siglo 17. Sin embargo, las estampas Vanitas surgen de la experimentación en fotografía digital y el grabado.
