AB-Translations is specialized in French-Dutch and Dutch-French translations. The letters AB stand for my name Annoesjka Boesaard. I have studied French language and culture at VU University Amsterdam (1996-2001), specializing in modern French literature of the 20th century. In the third year of my studies, I studied as an Erasmus exchange student in Paris, where I followed courses in literature, translation and philosophy (maîtrise and DEA) at the Sorbonne (Paris IV).
After working for five years in both nonprofit (Maison Descartes, Institut Français des Pays-Bas) and commercial (Marchon Europe B.V.) organizations, I did a Masters degree in French Translation Studies at Utrecht University (2005-2006). Since then, I have been working as an independent translator. On the 7th of January 2008, I also became a sworn translator in French at the Amsterdam District Court.
