I am a professional translator in the language pair Arabic <> English, active in the field for more than 12 years. Academically, I have attained my doctoral degree in Arabic linguistics in the area of 'semantic problems of translation from English to Arabic'.
Presently I am located in the state of Qatar, working as translator in the PR & Communication Dept of a reputed public sector organisation.
I also undertake freelance translation assignments, ensuring my commitment to quality and timely delivery.
I am well-versed in the use of standard office programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc and I have completed basic training in CAT tool SDL Trados Studio 2011 Freelancer.
I am also into teaching and as Assistant Professor in Arabic Language and Linguistics, I have been teaching translation in the language pair at various levels including Diploma, PG Diploma, under graduate and post graduate courses.
Rather than a profession, I enjoy translation and utilize my free time for delivering quality translation as freelancer, thanks to the convenient daily work schedule.
