Freelance Translation & Interpretation (1992-present)
Medical, Life Sciences Translations: Work includes regular translation for over 4 years of medical reports and documents for the U.S. Veteran’s Administration, frequent translation of medical reports, research study and pharmaceutical trial reports, agricultural research reports and other scientific studies on an ongoing basis, as well as annual reports for Doctors Without Borders (2010, 2011)
Business, Financial Translations: Regular translation of banking and loan documents for a major Central American bank, annual reports, financial statements, marketing documents and PowerPoint presentations for various businesses, purchase/sale and leasing contracts and other business documents, with end clients including 3M, Yahoo, Google, Nike, and many others.
Legal Translations: Frequent translations of labor contracts, court transcripts, real estate contracts, Union Collective Bargaining Agreements, civil case documents (divorces, child custody, etc.)

Additional Experience:
In addition to translation experience listed above, I have worked as a High School Spanish teacher and private tutor. I also lived and worked in rural Bolivia (Villamontes, Tarija), South America (1990-1992). While there, I worked on the establishment of a new Veterinary Laboratory to assist local farmers, implemented numerous community development programs, including community gardens and food cooperatives, and taught literacy. I conducted all work and daily activities in Spanish.
I am proficient in a number of computer programs, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Wordfast and Trados Studio 2014.
