Il confronto dei dati ottenuti con il campione di controllo (IPA tot = 3 ng/m3 e IPA R45 = 0,2 ng/m3) indica una esposizione di natura sicuramente professionale.”
Alla pagina successiva riporta che “La principale sorgente di inquinanti è la vulcanizzazione della gomma, con lo sviluppo e la liberazione di fumi di gomma calda al momento dell’apertura dei vulcanizzatori. La letteratura scientifica riconosce a tale miscela una azione mutagena e/o cancerogena.
I risultati confermano, secondo lo scrivente Servizio, la necessità e la possibilità di ridurre l’esposizione professionale tramite l’adozione di sistemi di ventilazione forzata localizzata e generale, in analogia con quanto segnalato e in parte realizzato presso altri reparti della ditta.
Nel reparto di vulcanizzazione è presente un sistema di ventilazione, al servizio delle presse, che prevede l’immissione forzata di aria tramite condotte lungo le linee e un’estrazione a soffitto tramite aperture. Non è presente alcun sistema di estrazione forzata dei fumi di vulcanizzazione, né generale né localizzato.”
