I’m a native English speaker and I've been working as a freelance translator for various clients since 2005, translating from Dutch/Flemish into English (UK/US).

My aim is to deliver a translated document which is accurate, true to the original in terms of content but written in fluent, natural-sounding English. Before starting on a translation assignment, I always carry out a certain amount of research into the subject matter and the relevant terminology. Using CAT tools and other facilitating software and dictionaries, I ensure that I always meet deadlines and deliver a well-written and thoroughly reviewed document to my client.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature & Language, followed by a Master’s in Business Management with a specialisation in Human Resource Management. My 6+ years of work experience in IT/HRM in a multinational management consulting firm has helped me gain an excellent understanding of business and IT processes. I specialise in the translation of all kinds of business-related documents and legal contracts, but my experience also includes work in a variety of other fields such as education, IT, technology, design, medicine, tourism, environment etc.
