A native Japanese translator (English to Japanese).
Having worked as an in-house translator at manufacturing companies of automotive meter/parts for more than 7 years, I translated various engineering and business documents (related to QA, production engineering, planning etc.) for internal purposes at these companies.
Also, I worked at a company that provides products/services/solutions for building efficiency. I translated various internal/external documents (user manuals, specifications, planning sheet, UI help, presentation documents, etc). After I worked as a translation coordinator at a translation agency for 4 years, I now have been taking some job as a freelance translator while work as a translator at a game company.
At my previous company as a translation coordinator, my duties included analyzing translation documents, assigning appropriate translators and checking/proofreading. Customers were mainly makers in engineering field such as Canon (semiconductor), Nikon (Bio microscope), etc.
At current company, I translate mainly e-mails for internal communications, presentation documents, reviews, minutes, order sheets, etc. at a game company.
