ABD ve İngiliz hukuk sistemlerinde, (gıyabi yargılama dışında) hakimin sanığın duruşmalara gelmesine gerek bulunmadığına karar vermesine ilişkin bir örnek bulamadım. "Excluded from court hearing" örnekleri var, fakat bunlarda durum farklı: Hakim, duruşma salonunda bazı kimselerin bulunmasına izin vermiyor bu örneklerde.

Sunduğum öneri için sadece Hindistan ve Pakistan'dan örnekler mevcut. Fakat bence sorduğunuz deyimi birebir karşılıyor bu ifade.

agree  Tim Drayton: This or something similar is so obviously the correct answer. This does not mean that somebody has immunity from prosecution, but that they are excused from appearing at hearings.

  -> Thank you. I think the confusion starts with the Turkish legal term "vareste" (originally meaning "freed" in Persian) being Turkified as "bağışık" (immune). There is no legal immunity in this case.
