It seems to me that 'mixer tap' is the precise equivalent of 'batarya' as defined below. I am not an expert in this area, though.

In this context, both mean the same thing. No differences at all.
However, as for "mixing", you should note that in Turkish "miks batarya" defines a specific range of taps, which controls the flows of the hot and cold water via a single controller arm. Here's a commonly used one: http://www.tekinpres.com.tr/40lik-kugu-miks-batarya

"Batarya; sıcak ve soğuk su bağlantısını bir arada tutan musluk takımıdır. Mutfak ve banyolarda kullanılır. Geçmişte bataryalar oluşturulmadan önce musluklar 2’ye ayrılırdı. Sıcak su ve soğuk su için ayrı musluklar kullanılırdı. Yapı sektöründeki teknolojinin gelişmesi sonucunda ortaya çıkan bataryalar kendi içinde bu ayrımı yapan malzemelerdir."
