disagree  Susanne Lomander: Rainbow trout (http://www.fishbase.org/search.php). Steelhead if se-based, but 99% of the time it's called Rainbow Trout all over the world. Google will show you 4000 hits for Rainbow Salmon vs 2.8 million for Rainbow Trout.

All fisherman I know refer to it as rainbow trout.
