Apparently in academic circles this means an essay or a paer however in this architectural setting one assumes it is a noun from the verb peka and means the pointing work. as in pointing a wall

In terms of the limited context I hink it could be either one of two things - pointing as mentioned above "the south facade and pointting takes roughly twice as long as ...." however as Stefan points out the sentence does seem to suggest a physical object, perhaps a look out tower or viewing platform, difficult to tell unless we know what specific building whether it be modern or historical we're talking about.

neutral  Stefan A. M. Adamek: Doesn't make sense to me, isn't it a building part? I never heard the term during my 40+ years in Sweden and after building several houses plus involvement in countless construction projects.
