transfer to/from untaxed reserves
What it is, is "Transfer to/from untaxed reserves"
However the stardard, accepted term used for Swedish annual reports is "Appropriations"
(So I agree with Chris, but the reality is that is what FAR recommends).

: I've always thought this to be misleading translatorese. These are things they do to reduce tax, not how they distribute their profit.

That's all part of it, Chris. Some goes to dividends, some earnings are carried over. If there are tax consequences involved, that will all be covered. I think the Appropriations is what I see most often.

Discussion
Everyone has his own way of going about it.
I did not mean to suggest that I do not appreciate Chris's input. He has saved many a translation for me in the past.
That's his choice how he wants to contribute, and either way, it is a useful contribution to the Proz community.
No more hit-and-run criticisms. Man up and put yourself on the line by offering a better translation. You could be right!
And state "5", i.e., that you are sure. No more wishy-washy answers.
