platinas

English translation: (monitor) panels

Spanish term or phrase: platinas
From Mexico, for the US.
In a document detailing technical aspects of a prison, it reads:

¿Qué tipos de dispositivos de seguridad personal usan?
[Hombre caído, etc.]
Radio walk and talk/ lámpara táctica/silbato/ chaleco antibalas kevlar / Apoyo por Torre/Interphone/platinas

I have no idea what "platinas" could be referring to in this context. Not too sure about "apoyo por torre" either, unless it's to reference the following two items (interphone and platinas), that are on hand in the watch towers.

I'd be really grateful for any ideas.

English translation:(monitor) panels
Explanation:
Wall mounted intercom monitor panels, something like the image in phil's link. Different companies call them different names. When they are mounted on the outside of a building facade, my home automation security client calls them "outdoor panels".

In my client's case, the monitors and intercom panels in general are usually linked to what they call a " central guard unit"...

I went with "buzzer panel" in the end, but this term also fits the concept. Thank you all.
