Trapurable

Last week I translated some verbatim responses for a market research client; the files were Excel and the questions were at the top of each page. However, this week another contact in the same company is sending me the answers to a survey to translate, but without the questions as reference. I asked for a copy but the guy either didn't read the full e-mail or just can't be bothered. However, I've been doing this kind of thing for a couple of decades now and I've kind of got the hang of it and can more or less guess what the questions were. When odd words like "trapurable" crop up, I invariably ask the client, and they usually know what the speaker meant, but not always.

Anyone who's ever worked on survey responses will know they can be all over the place, often with complete non sequiturs and the most awful spelling and grammar imaginable. For that reason, the argument that all sanitary pads should be breathable nowadays, while I presume it to be a true statement, doesn't really lend much weight to the conclusion that no one would write "breathable" in a questionnaire describing what people like or dislike in sanitary pads. That's especially true in developing countries where you often find all sorts of knock-off products whose manufacturers aren't exactly the most scrupulous when it comes to health concerns.
On a side note, this question really has a lot more to do with matters of language, and the answerer's work experience and even personal experiences than it does with their gender.

I think it's coincidence that "trapurable" contains the English word "trap".

Based on a few sentences you've given us, "absorbent" has been dealt with below:
- It seems good for minor leaks. Very fine and good quality.
- ** Easily trapped**, may be?, assuming you are talking about urine leaks?
- Good absorption and discreet under clothing.

I am not saying that "breathable" is not an option, but in today's world, all sanitary pads should be, and are breathable, AFAI am concerned! Regards.

There is really not much context. I dont even have the exact questions, it's just a collection of answers to what they like or dislike, here is an exemple:
- Según dice, es muy ligero y absorbente, es justo lo que necesito en mi vida diaria,
- Disponible en tres colores
- Me gusta la forma y los componentes, además de que se ve cómoda
- La diversidad de tamaños Poder elegir colores El tacto
- Parece buena para perdidas menores. Muy fina y se nota de buena calidad.

How come and why it’s so important to make sure that your menstrual pad can “breathe”?
Not only bacteria and fungi are – well – gross, they are the main culprits of unpleasant odor. However, they can do more damage than that. Many cases of allergies, rash and skin irritations can be avoided if menstrual pads were more **breathable**. In fact, unless there are more serious underlying medical conditions, no women should suffer from rash and infections just because they have periods.

I think that's probably it, breathable. The S sometimes gets left out of consonant clusters like this in speech. If you put that as an answer, I'd vote for it.

Could this be it? Transpirable? I really don´t know if it makes sense in the case of sanitary towels.

I've changed the subject - surveying means measuring land and buildings, not market research.
