SOURCE:
En el desarrollo de las apps el área mediterránea se vuelca nuevamente en la difusión, dejando a un lado la comunicación, AUNQUE NO SE OLVIDE de las cuestiones didácticas.

NOTES:
The text is about museums in the Mediterranean and how historically they have focused more on dissemination (publicizing their collections) rather than on communication (i.e. interacting with their public, getting feedback, etc.). According to the author, with the development of mobile apps these museums have once again ignored the communication aspect. I am unsure on the term here, regarding use of subjunctive and how this meaning can fit in context. Thoughts? Does this actually mean "even at the cost of ignoring didactic aspects"? (That seems to fit context better.)

MY ATTEMPT:
In the development of apps, museums in the Mediterranean are once again focused on dissemination, leaving aside communication, ALTHOUGH NOT FORGETTING about didactic matters.

English translation:although [education] has not been overlooked
Explanation:
Or forgotten, or ignored. Or you could turn it into a positive statement and say something like "some attention has been paid to education".

I think "didactic aspects" sounds a bit literal - it means educating the public.
