Spanish term or phrase: reto
I have run across an unusual use of the word "reto" in a document from Puerto Rico. It is a set of instructions for a plant that blister-packs veterinary medicines.

Please see the following examples:

The context leads me to believe that this is simply a test or an inspection of the machine, but I have never seen "reto" used this way.

Any inputs will be much appreciated.

Explanation:
I haven't been able to find any dictionary evidence yet, hence the 3, but from the context I think it has to mean test. It could be Puerto Rican. The usual meaning of "reto" is "challenge", and when you test a machine you challenge it by setting it a task to carry out.

agree  JohnMcDove: Yes, I'd go with "challenge" or "trial", but "test" is probably good too. :-) Merry Christmas!
