cotext Explanation: The elements that are physically before or after a sentence or a word within a text and that give meaning or determine the way in which a sentence or word should be understood are called "cotexto". It is a group of linguistic signs that are interrelated with a sentence or a word within a text. And it is also called "linguistic or verbal context". For example, let's see the following rendering: "Yesterday, I went to Paris. I spent a wonderful time in there." Here cotext will let us know that "there" refers to "Paris", and that the time spent was "yesterday", and not today. Then, "contexto" has to do with the relationships that the elements of a text bear with the external world. It is the relationship between the elements of a text with our external knowledge, and with elements or concepts from other texts. So, in the previous example, context will let us know that yesterday was the 24th of June, 2019, and that Paris is the capital of France. This information is not physically written down in the rendering, but we can easily infer it by context (that is to say, by previous knowledge). I am completely sure because I studied and analysed this at college. Reference: http://https://definicion.de/cotexto |
