agree  Yvonne Gallagher: Agree with "filled" (infuse with optimism but not with despair imo)

  -> Yes, infuse is more commonly used in a positive sense, but it can also be used in a negative one, e.g., "her work is infused with an anger born of pain and oppression." That said, "filled" may be the way to go. Thanks, Yvonne!
