Otpadne vode pivara (i ne samo pivara) u Srbiji (prerađene/neprerađene) se izlivaju u reke i kanale (Savu, Dunav, DTD, isl.)

Otpadne vode Apatinske pivare se prečišćavaju u dve faze i to putem anaerobnog i aerobnog procesa.
Prečišćene otpadne vode se ispuštaju u meliracioni kanal 9-3a preko zajedničke crpne stanice (naseljske i pivarske prečišćene otpadne vode)... Iz bazena aktivnog mulja voda teče u prečistač... Radi uklanjanja preostalih rastvorljivih čvrstih materija voda prolazi kroz peščani filter pre nego što se ispusti u recipijent (kanal 9-3a, odnosno Dunav).

Karlsberg * Otpadne vode do sada su ispuštane u kanal Dunava, ali iz njih su prethodno uklanjani otpadni kvasac i kaustička soda. Otvaranjem pogona za prečišćavanje otpadnih voda taj problem je napokon rešen.

agree  Aleksandar Protić: U svakom slučaju, "channel" je isključivo prirodni vodotok, što ne verujem da je ovde slučaj, dok je "canal" veštački.

agree  Mira Stepanovic: Da, ovde je u pitanju veštački kanal, "izliv prečišćene vode u kanal iz bazena" - kanal iz bazena sigurno nije prirodna tvorevina, dakle u pitanju je "canal" a ne "channel". Vesna, molim vas postavite odgovor. :-)
