Перевожу статью, в которой присутствует следующая фраза: "Рисуя подробности подковерный (точнее, надковерный- герои фильма делят власть, буквально стоя на мокром от сталинской мочи ковре) борьбы в Кремле,..."
Есть идеи как перевести эту игру слов?
В статье речь идет о новом фильме Армандо Ианнуччи "Смерть Сталина ".

Explanation:
Ovvio che si fa riferimento alla frase ascritta a Winston Churchill "una rissa tra bulldog sotto un tappeto". Perché non mantenerla nella traduzione aggiungendo la fonte della citazione, come ha fatto L'Espresso?. vedi link

E' vero che alla corte di Putin è in corso una guerra per accaparrarsi le risorse rimaste dopo due anni di recessione. Campo di battaglia, le privatizzazioni petrolifere. Immaginatevi "una rissa tra bulldog sotto un tappeto", come diceva Winston Churchill delle guerre intestine nel Cremlino sovietico.
