Art/Literary - Music / Article on famous conductor's work
Romanian term or phrase: "linea mare" ce conferă vibrație în interpretare.
This is from an article on a famous conductor:

This part of the text is talking about how the conductor believed that the musical score (partitura) was just an analytical tool for the conductor that he believed destroyed the charm of what the music actually contained.

The context reads:

This seems to be saying that:

"Consequently, as the conductor said himself "*high/big line??" which gave a "Vibration??" to the interpretation."

However, this does not sound very easy to make sense of anyway. I do not know what "high line" is and therefore cannot find the correct musical term to use.

"the big picture" which lends vibration to the performance
Explanation:
This could be a nice metonymy, too (music-picture).

the whole (great) phrase which gives vibration in interpretation

Explanation:
From the Romanian texts in the field, it seems to be referring to the conductor looking at the score as a whole, but in the same time paying attention to details. "Phrase" seems to be a common term in music, longer or shorter, the presented context shows the conductor looking at the whole picture, phrase of the musical part.

“relationship between form and phrase lengths with tempo is simple. The tempo must be a speed which enables the listener to discern the phrase structure as a whole.”

“…a conductor must not only know what comes next, but also have a picture of the “whole” in his mind…to create this “picture of the whole”, or the “landscape of the score”, the conductor…”
