agree  Andres Stein (X): Indeed it is self control. What's weird is that in portuguese they said "domínio pessoal" which is -very- odd, as the more common way to phrase this is to speak about "autocontrole"

Self control

Explanation:
Penso que está se referindo principalmente ao domínio de sí mesmo por tanto deve ser "self-control".
I believe he's speaking about the domain of their emotions. So it should be self control

Example sentence(s):
  • "The company is looking for a professional with excellent interpersonal skills and self control."
  • (granted that even in portuguese it's phrased in a weird way, so that would be a more accurate translation of the intent)

agree  Vitor Pinteus: vd discussion. Creio que neste caso as expressões mais adequadas são "personal/self-mastery".

agree  Muriel Vasconcellos: My preference is 'self-confidence'. Since "confiança" doesn't fully equate to English 'confidence', Portuguese has other ways of conveying the idea.
