Description of a photograph of a person with fistulizing Crohn's disease, with surgery requiring "tutorização dos trajetos fistulosos com sedanho".
I believe there is a typo and it should be "sedenho". So I know that a seton stitch is being used on the fistula tracts, but I cannot work out what "tutorização" means exactly.

Yes, it should be sedenho (seton). "Tutorização" (also found much more commonly in Spanish as "tutorización") is a rather antiquated term for securing the tract of a fistula and maintaining its patency either in preparation for surgery or to allow continued drainage of an infection. I would simply use "maintenance" and reword the rest—examples follow.

You will only find "tutorization" in the translated literature. It is a calque and a dangerous pitfall.

You could also use "stenting", which is an appropriate enough translation of the term (although I wouldn't in this particular context, because it is best reserved for vascular fistulas)
