Hi guys. I found 'wormery' in Ireland but here you say in previous questions 'composter', so I am in doubt now. Is there a difference or they are the same?

Hi there Caroline!

From what I've been able to gather during a quick scan, wormeries would be composters with worms (I'm sending over a link to a definition), whereas composter is the bin itself.

Explanation:
In addition to 'composter', here in North America we also say 'compost bin'.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you for your answer, Tereza! I think a 'composteira' wouldn't be a compost bin though. As far as I understood it has different levels, so your organic waste becomes homemade fertilizer at the bottom
