Can anyone suggest the translation of this term within the context, of which, all I have is that this is a list of attached documents following an insurance claim. The translation of this term has many nuances but none of them seem to make any sense within the context of this text below in question

Para ajudar na contextualização do termo em português:
"§ 1º O Operador de Transporte Multimodal, no ato do recebimento da carga, deverá lançar ressalvas no Conhecimento se:

I - julgar inexata a descrição da carga feita pelo expedidor;

II - a carga ou sua embalagem não estiverem em perfeitas condições físicas, de acordo com as necessidades peculiares ao transporte a ser realizado." em http://www.planalto.gov.br/ccivil_03/LEIS/L9611.htm

Thks Sergio!
Notes to answerer
Asker: Sergio Thks your explanation, its what we call in english "A dirty B/L", now I think about it, not so important for the Road Haulage B/L which acts more as a receipt for goods (with notations) - unlike the Maritime B/L which is a negotiable document, and if any comment/notation placed on it, the shipper would not be able to negotiate the Letter of Credit - as nearly all L/C s demand an absolute "clean" B/L. Many thanks your explanations!!

Claused

Explanation:
Claused bill of lading refers to a specific kind of bill of lading in the shipping of goods. A claused bill of lading shows a shortfall or damage in the delivered goods.
http://www.oxfordreference.com/viewbydoi/10.1093/oi/authorit...

Dirty bill of lading: A bill of lading carrying a clause or endorsement by the master or mate of the ship on which goods are carried to the effect that the goods (or their packing) arrived for loading in a damaged condition.

Notes to answerer
Asker: You got it Mark! I was master mariner with the UK merchant Navy so Ive done a few of those in my time. In practice even if the Mates receipts were claused - very rarely would the BL be claused otherwise the shipper would not be able to negotiate his L/C , which would have commercial impacts for both shipper and shipping company, invariably as a compromise a back -letter would be issued (hopefully in good faith as legally it was worthless!)
