Norwegian term or phrase: omsetningslivet
Hi, I'm having trouble finding the correct English translation for omsetningslivet - It appears in the following. Thanks for your help!

the conduct of a business; the conducting of a business
Explanation:
Alternative: the conduct of one's business.
Alternative 2: the conduct of a given business.
Thus, sikkerhet og forutberegnelighet i omsetningslivet = security and predictability in the conduct of a business.
Explanation: I have incorporated the context, to the extent that seemed necessary to render the term in English.

commerce

Explanation:
It seams that it is one of thos archaic legal terms that still are in use.
I means basicly commerce.

Eksample from non-legal source:
I 1915 fantes i alt fjorten forretninger i Eidanger. Spesialforretningene lå i byene. Noe større omsetningsliv fantes ikke i Eidanger.
