long, seamless cloth Explanation: In days of yore, before needles were invented, sewing/seams were not done/necessary. Cloth (mostly white or in just a few other shades) right-off the 'weaver' were used directly as 'body wraps' like sarees. Even when there were more innovations, long, seamless textiles/fabrics were still popularly used in such forms & ascetics still preffred the simple home-spun fabrics, usually in an all-over body garment....
