Compensated Divorce / Divorce via Compensation Explanation: My suggestion is based on the following: - talak/talaq is Arabic for diivorce. - the other Malay term for talak khuluk [from Arabic talaq khul] is tebus talak. Basically this refers to a divorce requested by the wife where she is willing to pay compesation for it. - in Islam, talaq khul is a procedure through which a woman can divorce her husband by returning from the dower (mahr) or something else that she received from her husband, as agreed by the spouses or Qadi's (court) decree. |
