Crowd surfing; MVP celebratory toss; piggyback ride Explanation: There is nothing uniquely Japanese about these concepts and I think the metaphors add to rather than detract from the main point so I would keep them, putting them in scare quotes. Equivalents to consider might be: 1) "Crowd-surfing" 2) "MVP celebratory toss up" 3) "Piggyback ride" (not literal, but same idea and no room for misunderstanding) |
