Japanese term or phrase: 課題にする
I'm translating an instructional document for an independent music distributor. The document ends with the phrase 「参考データです。課題には使用しません。」 I'm a little unsure of the meaning of 課題 in this context.

English translation:Use for solving a problem
Explanation:
I think your difficulty, and the lack of response to your question, stems from the fact that 課題にする (to make sth into a problem requiring solution) and 課題に使用する (use sth for solving a problem) are quite different in meaning.

That is a literal translation. It is basically saying the numbers are for reference only and should not be used in any real world analysis.
