Modal language Explanation: Difficult to tell much without more context, but in music one talks of tonal language, atonal language, modal language, etc. Idiom could also be used. It basically refers to the pitch and rhythmic elements of the music, which will have certain restrictions depending on whether its an Indian raga or a twelve tone piece. |
