Niimi Smother Kiln Explanation: https://ejje.weblio.jp/content/燻し窯 http://www.izawaseitou.co.jp/original2.html http://www.niimi-s.co.jp/work/machine.html There appears to be a typo. I believe that it is ニイミ and not エイミ. The type of kiln appears to be a "smother kiln", which uses smoke to blacken pottery. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 31 mins (2018-03-06 01:08:23 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/smother-kiln -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs (2018-03-06 04:12:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- You should ask the client if possible about the typo. エ and 二 are somewhat similar characters and there is actually company called Niimi that has been around for a while and manufactures that kind of equipment. |
