the introduction of Explanation: 持ち込み usually has to do with bringing in or taking in (or into) but without further context, I feel that the noun "introduction" from the verb "to introduce" (as in "to bring in" would work here). |

hand-in Explanation: "持ち込み" is the means of applying your matrial (such as manga, illustration or story manuscript) to the publisher by bringing it directly to the company. ALC gives ”slush〈話〉(出版社への)” for this usage, but this seems too colloquial. |
